This was a 2013 redesign for the Redbud Festival and Heritage Living Event held in Barbourville, Kentucky. I did a WordPress installation, then customized a WordPress theme to reflect the brand of the event. I also set up an official Facebook page for the event with icon and cover graphics. (view site)
A new custom web site, the first, for an iconic local business with stylish, quality footwear and apparel across the street from John’s Run/Walk Shop. (view site)
This is a new site design I provided for a new locally-based personal finance business. Based on the WordPress CMS publishing platform, I customized an attractive WordPress theme with a design that represented the client’s branding as well as created an original logo. The site is fully SEO and mobile optimized, and the client has the ability to log in and add their own new pages and content. (view site)
I recently switched my email server (MX record) from my website host (which, by the way, is excellent), to Google’s email servers, a service included with Google Apps for Business. It is affordable, easy to do, and I’m now enjoying the advantages it has. I can help your small business get set up with Google Apps for Business too.
Here are highlights of the advantages.
1. Gmail – your business email powered by Google
With Gmail, you get 25 GB worth of email space stored in the Google cloud that can be accessed from your computer, your mobile device, or webmail. This includes the power of Google search as well as built-in spam protection via Postini.
2. Google Docs – your office documents online
Google Docs enables you and your small business staff to create, upload, edit and share your office documents. Multiple users can view, edit and share documents all at the same time online.
3. Calendar – keep everyone’s schedule up-to-date
Create individual and/or master calendars to share your schedule with another staff member or with the entire staff online.
4. Sync all your information online across devices
Whether you use Mac, Windows, Apple Mail, MS Outlook or Thunderbird, Gmail IMAP protocol will keep your email, documents and calendars synced across multiple computers and devices and will keep everything backed up online.

If your small business does not have the budget for a separate, mobile version of your website, you should at least have a site that is mobile-optimized. The attached screenshot of my redesign for Irvin Group shows that it looks exactly as expected on an iPhone as when viewed with a computer’s browser.
